Our privacy principles
Six commitments that guide every decision in FarmakoMed.
Your data stays on your device
All your health information is stored locally on your phone by default. It never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose cloud backup.
No account required
You can use all core features — medication, reminders, documents, emergency — without creating an account or sharing any personal details.
Cloud sync is opt-in and encrypted
If you choose Personal Plus or Family, your data is encrypted before leaving your device and stored on secure servers. You control it. You can delete it at any time.
No data sold, no ad tracking
FarmakoMed does not sell your data to third parties, does not contain advertising, and does not profile you for commercial purposes.
Data portability — export any time
You own your health data. Export your full data set at any time in standard formats. We never lock you in.
Transparent medication sources
Medication information comes from verified, cited sources: RxNorm, openFDA, DailyMed (US), and CBG (Netherlands). You always know where your data originates.
AI that never leaves your phone
FarmakoMed uses on-device AI, running locally on your device, for features like medication scanning and document summarisation — no data is sent to an external AI service for processing. For the full data-flow diagrams and a component-by-component breakdown, see AI Architecture in the Trust Center.
This website does not access your health data
farmakomed.eu is a public product and information site. It explains the FarmakoMed app — it does not provide access to your health records, medication lists, or any personal data. There is no patient portal and no login for health records; if you need to access your data, open the FarmakoMed app on your phone.

1. Who we are
FarmakoMed is a personal health organisation app. For questions about this privacy policy, contact us at privacy@farmakomed.eu.
2. What data we collect
For the Personal Plan, all data (medications, documents, health profile, reminders) is stored locally on your device. We do not collect or transmit this data.
For Personal Plus and Family (when available), you choose to back up your data to secure servers. This data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We store only what you explicitly sync.
If you register interest or join the beta via the download page, we collect your email address solely to notify you about FarmakoMed updates. We do not use it for advertising or share it with third parties.
3. How we use data
We do not sell, rent, or share your health data with third parties. We do not use your data for advertising or profiling. We use anonymous, aggregated usage analytics (crash reports only) to improve the app — these contain no personally identifiable or health information.
4. Medication data sources
Medication information is sourced from publicly available databases: RxNorm and openFDA/DailyMed (United States), CBG (Netherlands), and related EU sources. FarmakoMed does not provide medical advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional.
5. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your personal data. Because core data is stored on your device, you can delete it at any time within the app. For cloud data or beta registration data, contact privacy@farmakomed.eu.
6. Data retention
Personal Plan data is retained on your device for as long as you keep the app installed.
7. Account and data deletion
You may request deletion of your account and cloud data at any time by contacting support@farmakomed.eu.
8. Your rights (GDPR)
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the right to access, correct, port, and delete your personal data. Contact support@farmakomed.eu.
